BSc in Automotive Egnineering

Qualification Awarded

BSc in Automotive Engineering

Level Of Qualification

Bachelor (1st Cycle Degree)

Offered by

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mode of Study

Full Time or Part Time

The Automotive Engineering Program of Study provides the opportunity for students to gain a deep understanding in a particular automotive engineering discipline. The Program constitutes a balance between the academic and the practical directions. It prepares its graduates for direct employment as Automotive engineers and lays the foundation for graduate studies in the field of Automotive engineering.

The graduates of the Program will have both enhanced interdisciplinary skills in automotive engineering and business, and the teamwork skills necessary to guide product and process development in this fast-growing field. They fulfil the requirements for employment in private sectors such as service advisors, fleet control engineers, automotive insurance companies’ assessors and public departments such as the Road Transport Department. They can also be employed in the industry in areas related to automotive supplier companies. The graduates of the Program can also be employed as educators in public or private secondary schools. The graduates of the program are eligible to register to the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).
The Program is based on the ECTS credit accumulation mode of study. Students can be awarded the Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Engineering upon completion of 240 credits. These credits are allocated to compulsory and elective courses as shown in the table below. The list of compulsory and elective courses is provided in the Program’s course structure.
