Strenght of Materials Labs
Strength of Materials Lab | Campus: Nicosia
(a) |
Usage: |
This lab is used for BSc Mechanical Engineering, BSc Automotive Engineering and MSc Manufacturing and Welding Engineering related courses.
(b) |
Organization: |
The laboratory work is organised in small groups not exceeding 12 students. Prior to the laboratory exercise performance, students are provided with all theoretical background and evaluation methods related to the experiments and are given detailed instructions for evaluating and appraising the recorded measurements. Due to the small groups, students have the chance to get involved in the arrangement of the experimental setup for the different laboratory exercises and to perform individual measurements in groups of two. Based on instructor's guidance they finally provide their evaluation and discuss their experimental results compared with the literature, stating possible sources of errors.
